Mr.Kitty – Fragments

Fragments, the upcoming fifth album from Austin Texas based Mr.Kitty is another densely layered work that is haunting in it’s simplicity yet the gravity of words and sound tends to immerse the listener so completely that time seems to stretch endlessly. The track order seems chosen to transition from what is almost background noise into a soundscape that speaks louder with each passing song. Words become more distinct, percussion and synths start with only a glimmer and grow as the album reaches it’s stride. It’s very much like a shy introvert warming up to a kindred spirit, becoming more expressive as they become more comfortable. I won’t spoil any surprises you might find in this album by listing highlights, it would simply lead to a complete tracklist which can be found below. The album should be experienced as a whole, one doesn’t look into a kaleidoscope without turning it a few times,
