Emily Anne

After 12 years as a spectator in the New York City Goth-Industrial scene, Emily Anne decided to try to “give back” to the community which had always fostered and supported her. After completing some preliminary DJ coursework at DubSpot in the Meatpacking District, she performed her first set at the Dark Bar on Orchard Street in the Spring of 2011. She has since performed at Anomaly and Industrialized Madness at Pyramid, Dark Water at Otto’s Shrunken Head, Identity Bar in Alphabet City, Broadway Bar of Amityville, Undertow Industrial in Allentown PA, and is a guest DJ in residence at Contempt at the Delancey and at Underland NY events.

Emily Anne’s promotional and online presence has included involvement in Critical Damage on WFKU, promotions for VampireFreaks.com and the initial inception of Heart/Break/Beat as a live radio show.

As an DJ, Emily Anne is committed to the indie and DIY spirit – she supports all local and self-produced talent and promises to consistently deliver new and cutting-edge sounds from both established and up-and-coming artists.

Emily Anne would like to thank DJ mentors Hi-Fi Hillary Johnson, Sean Templar, Dr. Avi, DJ Ian Fford and Father Jeff Ward, Paul Salas, the entire crew of Stimulate and Smack!Fetish, Jet Berelsen and the VampireFreaks, and finally Cristiana/DJ Evylla my partner and web goddess, without whom deadaudio.com would be impossible.
